I like Fresh Figs With Ricotta and Honey — yes, they are hard to get here most of the time.
Serena Powell says
I’ve never cooked with fresh figs, they are impossible to find where I live. I did have caramelized figs at a restaurant and they were amazing!
Jenice says
I still can the way my mama didn’t would like to learn new methods.
Linda Lilly says
The grilled pork roast sounds wonderful. It might find it’s way on to my dinner table this weekend. And FIGS, yes! Fresh figs, fig tart, figgy jam….and so much more. Delicious!
Anne says
Would you believe that I have never tasted a fresh fig? I don’t think I’ve ever even seen them in the grocery stores here in rural East Bejezeezus. I so want to try some!

They are not always easy to find but I love them! Love to eat them plain. I also have a great recipe for some breakfast bars to use them in.
Jana says
I have never had fresh figs!
Kathy Hayes says
Love them plain when I can get them. Just planted my first fig tree.

My favorite thing to make is a fig prosciutto pizza! We live in an apartment and there are fig trees that grown in our backyard so we’ve been very lucky. However, after Hurricane Sandy the trees were destroyed and had to be cut back completely. They are still growing back and haven’t had fruit since then. Hopefully soon!

I love them fresh! Our neighbor has a tree and shares a few with us. It would be such a joy to have an entire box of fresh figs for our family. My kids would be so excited!
Jane says
I love fresh figs! And I make a delicious drunken fig jam that can’t be beat.

I have been dreaming of figs ever since I moved to Colorado from California. I love them sliced open, dotted with mascarpone cheese and drizzled with a bit of honey. The fig vanilla preserves in yoru book have caught my eye more than once as well.
Peggy Shattuck says
Oh my–figs are pretty hard to come by in southeastern Minnesota. I usually drive 110 miles round trip to get them at Trader Joes in Rochester. My family loves them because we so rarely get them–we like them with cheese and wine (best appetizer EVER) and fig and arugula pizza and grilled with prosciutto and Gouda. I have never had enough to make any preserves with— but your recipe sounds wonderful!

I have never tried fresh figs. Excited to do so!
