Harry & David sent me a Mother’s Day Tower of Treats Gift Deluxe (ARV $59) to review and has offered to give an identical gift tower to one lucky Foodie with Family reader in celebration of Mother’s Day. I do so love Harry & David.
You know ‘Mom’ is ‘Wow’ upside down, right?
How perfect is that? Every mother is aware how very upside down and wowed you spend most of your days. We think we’ve gone down the rabbit hole with diapers and spit-up, but every single day proves that you ain’t seen nothing yet. It’s the beginning of a lifetime of your heart being a dishrag that just keeps sopping up love and being wrung out just in time to soak up more love that you didn’t see coming.
…Just in time for Mother’s Day, my good friends at Harry & David ride to the rescue once again with a perfect gift to give to a deserving mother in your life, whether it’s yours, your spouse’s, your own, or a really nice lady down the street who mothers all the lonely kids. THIS mom is telling you that a stack of pretty boxes filled with treats of all kinds and tied together with a beautiful satin ribbon is a splendiferous way to show your appreciation. Have you TRIED their Royal Riviera pears yet? Let me explain how good the pears are… Each opportunity I’ve had to review and give away one of Harry & David’s gifts, I’ve deliberately chosen one with the pears because they rock my world. There is no other pear that is so tender and juicy that it’s easiest to eat if you cut it in half and scoop the flesh with a spoon. Seriously. What mom wouldn’t love that?
It’s not just full of pears, though; look at all the goodies in there…
Most of us have more than one mama for whom to buy or make a gift. If you’re stuck for ideas, you must hop over to Harry&David and look at their selection of Mother’s Day gifts. If your mom loves gardening, cheesecake, fruit, wine, cheese, flowers, tea, candy, chocolates, cake, cookies, wreaths, and birdhouses, they have you covered and there’s still seven days to order and have your gift arrive on time!
The giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to Terah, the college student! Please check your email and get back to me quickly. Your mama is going to be thrilled!

I’d like to nominate my new daughter-in-law, Amy. She married my son on New Year’s Eve, which blended her son and my grand-daughter into a new family. She has boundless energy and enthusiasm for her new parenting duties and works full-time, too, with job travel included. Here’s to Amy with love and respect!

Definetly to my mom who I love and admire. I have never known a stronger big hearted women in my life. She 73 years old and has worked all her life to raise 6 kids. She still works cleaning other peoples houses and babysits 3 grandson 6 days a week. She has had a hard life but never complains. She would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. I have watch her many time go without so that her children had what they needed. I feel she deserves the best in life and I know she would love to receive this gift.

I cried the other night…my son called and said he would be flying home to spend Mother’s day with me. Quite a sacrifice of time, travel, money and I would love to give him the gift when we spend the day together.

Sherry says
While I would love this for myself, I would definitely share it with my mom and my family. My mom because, let’s face it, she’s been there for me through thick and thin. And now, she’s there for her grandchildren. I would share with my family because, quite honestly, without my husband there wouldn’t be any children. And I would share with my children because I do everything in my capability for them. I strive to be the best mom I can because of them. And even though I’ve heard them say on occassion that I’m the meanest mom ever (haven’t we all heard that one)I love them more and more each day.
Allyson says
For my mother or mother-in-law, neither of whom live close by!
Anne says
I know it’s wrong…but I’d totally want this for myself. Of course, I would share with my husband and children.

My mother ADORES Harry & David, and I would love to give this prize to her!
Deborah says
I would like to win this for my daughter. She has had 3 tubal pregnancies and been through heartbreaking health issues, finally a hysterectomy, and is unable to have children now at 38. She has “adopted” her nieces and nephews and even volunteers as a cub scout den mother for the 3 (oops now 4) boys in the family. She never gets mother day presents and this would be very touching as a token of appreciation for all she does.
