Hi Rebecca,
Just curious – what’s happened to your blog? And, when I click on a photo such as the cioppino on your new header, it doesn’t link to the recipe.
It does look very sleek, but it also just looks like a site for recipes now – I’m not very good with change.

Hi Carroll-
I’m sorry to hear you don’t like the new look, but I hope I can reassure you on the functionality being an improvement. If you click on the photo around the title of the recipe on the header, it should take you to the blog post. I tested it myself before responding to you and it worked well for me. The new recipe index is a VAST improvement over the old one both in appearance and function. The categories are more clearly laid out the bigger categories break down further (For instance, Meats breaks down into “Beef”, “Chicken”, “Lamb”, etc…) And the search function is infinitely more powerful. You can enter your key ingredients and recipes that feature them will pop up. It’s so very much better than what I had before.
Additionally, it’s just a new look (plus new options) for the great content that was already there. The four latest posts live right below the header, and below that, I broke it down into categories for folks who aren’t familiar with Foodie with Family and are just stopping by for the first time. I hope the new site will grow on you because I truly love it.

Thanks Rebecca. It does work for me too. I do think it looks beautiful . As I said sometimes I’m not very good with change – I’m sure I’ll get used to it. You’ve been a great resource to me over the last few years, so I will definitely figure it out.

I understand, Carroll. I’m not a huge fan of change, either, but this one is a good one and I hope you grow to love it. It is just so much more streamlined and usable. I was so frustrated by the search function before. It was not specific and it would return completely useless answers when I put in something like “brussels sprouts bacon”. I really love having you weigh in on posts, so hopefully you’ll get used to it soon!
