Maybe you all know this about me or maybe you don’t: in my free-time I’m a BarreFIT and certified Pilates instructor. Free time. Right. That is a misnomer since I have five kids who I homeschool, a husband, two dogs, a cat, twenty something chickens, ducks, and guinea fowl, and my own business. Perhaps I should’ve said “in the time when I’m not homeschooling, wife-ing, chasing critters, and making food, I like to help people get or stay fit. With everything I do, though -aside from the fitness instruction- there’s an element of being sedentary to it. I sit down to homeschool the kids, write recipes, stand at the counter for long periods of time while cooking, watch movies with my husband, play games with the kids… There’s a LOT of sitting. The fitness instruction doesn’t balance out the extra long stretches on my tuckus. I need a little reminder to keep moving, and that’s where my Fitbit Charge HR comes into play. My husband and I both wear them. They track the number of steps we take during the day, the number of active minutes, the flights of stairs we climb, AND our heart rate while we do all of this. I have mine set to buzz on my wrist every half hour or so to remind me to get up and get the blood moving. And wonder of wonders, it’s like a Dick Tracy watch and it shows who is calling my cell phone on the display. I love this thing.
I love it so much that I got together with a handful of awesome bloggers who ALSO love fitness and we teamed up to buy two of these to give away. One person will win TWO of them!! One for you and your spouse or significant other or to gift to a friend.
How do I enter?
BIG thanks to all the participating bloggers! Please hop over to their blogs and show them a little love!

I definitely did not need that spare d at the end of my comment.

All the reading/studying/writing I’ve done in the last 13 months, with the help of the Skittles I ate while writing all those papers, has padded me out. I definitely need a FitBit.d

Wow. That is a full plate. I run as often as I can in our area. I homeschool my 2nd grader, and we are gearing up to run to the various Amish farms in our area for baking supplies, re-stocking of apples and peppers. I have been vacillating between getting a Masters in Education or a certification in Yoga. I have no idea when you found the time to get so much done.

I’m tired just thinking about all that you do. My tuckus could use a little motivation and this would do nicely. Thanks for such a neat give away!

I have really been wanting a fitbit. My sister has two and uses hers all day to make sure she gets her 10000 steps in.
